Son Hyun-woo, better known by his stage name Shownu, is a South Korean singer and dancer. He is the main dancer and vocalist in the South Korean boy band Monsta X, which debuted under Starship Entertainment in 2015 through Mnet's survival show, No.Mercy.

Shownu before fame

He was supposed to be a member of the Got7 group and had previously worked as an apprentice at JYP Entertainment. He was one of seven contestants who won the reality show No Mercy and gained a spot in the Monsta X group.
