Shruti Haasan is an Indian actress and singer, who mainly filmed in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Born into the Haasan family, she is the daughter of two actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. As a child artist, Haasan sang in films and appeared as a guest in her father's film Hey Ram, before playing the adult role in the 2009 Bollywood film Luck. She was recognized for her leading roles in Telugu romantic comedy Oh My Friend, Telugu fantasy film Anaganaga O Dheerudu, Tamil science fiction action film 7aum Arivu. Her roles in the following two roles won her the Filmfare Award for Best Male Role. Haasan continues to assert itself in South Indian cinema with a number of commercially successful films including Gabbar Singh, Vedalam, Srimanthudu and Si3. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu for the action comedy Race Gurram.
