Sara Hjellström, known by her stage name Shy Martin, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Growing up in the small Swedish town of Lerdala, SHY Martin began writing songs and poems at a young age as a means of expressing himself. After winning a music competition at her school at the age of 17, SHY signed with EMI for a while, but in the end she decided to work independently. She decided to start her studies at the Musikmakarna School of Music Compositions in nrnsköldsvik, north of Sweden. Soon after, she moved to Stockholm and signed a contract with independent company BLNK Music.
