Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, also known by his acronym STR or nickname Simbu, is an Indian film actor, director, writer, composer, dancer, lyricist and play singer in Tamil film industry. He is one of the best actors in Tamil cinema. He began his career as child artists in films directed by his father T. Rajendar, before starring first in Kadhal Azhivathillai, directed by his father and produced by his mother Usha.
