Sophie Joy Martin Delezio is an Australian who was injured in two serious road accidents at a young age. She was first noticed by the media in 2003, when she was seriously injured when a car crashed into her daycare. She suffered from three to 85 percent of her body burns and was hospitalized for several weeks, losing both feet, several fingers and one ear. She was involved in a second serious car accident in 2006. Her family became activists and raised big funds for sick victims like Sophie, while also helping to raise funds for Children's Hospital.
