Stefania is a genus of frog from the Hemiphractidae family. They are native to the highlands of the Guyanese Shield in southern Venezuela, Guyana and bordered by northern Brazil. Most are confined to the tepui highlands, but S. evansi also occurs in the lowlands. On most mountains there are only 1 to 2 species of this genus, but the five known species from Mount Ayanganna and nearby Wokomung Mountain have six. They are usually found near streams in the lower layers of branches / leaves or above ground between vegetation / rocks.
