Stephen Cluxton is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays a top goalkeeper position for the County Dublin team of which he is captain. Cluxton made his senior debut for Dublin in the 2001 Championship. Since then he has become Dublin's top goalkeeper and won eight medals across Ireland, starting with just one trophy. In 2011 and 2013, and six consecutive championships from 2015 to 2020. Cluxton is the only player in the history of the game to take the captain to seven league titles. He also won a record 16 Leinster medals, five National Football Federation medals and six All Stars. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Gaelic players of all time, having completely revolutionized the role of goalkeeper.
