Steven Victor Tallarico, known by his stage name Steven Tyler, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actor and former television personality. He is known as the lead vocalist for the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, in which he also plays harmonica, piano, and percussion. He is known as the "Devil of Scream" because of his high-pitched screams and wide range. He is also known for his acrobatics on stage. During his energetic performances, Tyler often wears bright and colorful outfits with his signature scarf hanging from his mic rack. During the 1970s, Tyler emerged as the lead vocalist of Aerosmith, having released hard rock albums such as Toys in the Attic and Rocks, as well as a series of hit singles, including "Dream On", "Sweet Emotion" and "Take the Road." In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Tyler was heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol and the band's popularity waned.
