He is best known as a member of the South Korean boy band SHINee, where he is the maknae, main dancer, and vocalist. In 2016, he made his solo debut in Japan. His full name is Lee Tae-min.

Lee Tae-min, known as Taemin, is a Korean singer, songwriter, actor and dancer. He debuted at the age of 14 as a member of the Shinee group in May 2008, and his success and artistic impact have earned him the nickname "Idol of the Idol". He started his acting career in 2009 with the comedy Tae-Hee, Hye-Kyo, Ji-Hyun as Junsu of MBC. Lee started his solo career in 2014 with his first expansion, Ace. He reached number one on the Korean Gaon Album Chart and his first single "Danger" reached number 5 on the Gaon Weekly Digital Chart. Her debut studio album, Press It, took number one on the Gaon Album Chart. In July 2016, Lee made his solo debut in Japan with the release of his second expansion, Sayonara Hitori. In 2017, Lee released his second full Korean album, Move; The title track attracts attention with its distinctive choreography. Move-ing, the repackaged album, followed on December 10, 2017 with self-written single "Day and Night" as its first single.
