Takeo Gerard Spikes is a former American football player who played for the National Football Federation. He plays college football for Auburn University. He was drafted by the 13th Cincinnati Bengals overall in the 1998 NFL Draft. After selecting the Pro Bowl twice and the All-Pro twice, Spikes also played for the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers. Spikes is one of seven full-backs to have made over 200 career startups with the NFL. Only once did Spikes score less than 70 tackles in a season. He was the 13th out of 15 team captain in his season. Spikes has the distinction of playing in 219 regular games of the non-playoff season, which is the most played in NFL history. After retiring from the NFL, Spikes became a media figure. He is currently a football analyst on NBC Sports Network and co-host of SiriusXM NFL shows. He is currently the NFL expert for Sky Sports UK.
