About Teddy Park

He rose to prominence in South Korea as a member of the hip-hop group 1TYM. He has also worked as a producer for well-known Korean ensembles such as Big Bang Theory.

Teddy Park, is a Korean-American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Park moved to the United States with his family when he was a child. At the age of 17, Park and his friend Danny flew to Korea during the summer vacation to audition for YG Entertainment. The two signed the contract immediately and after graduating from high school in the US, they moved to Korea to pursue music. In 1998, Park debuted in hip hop group 1TYM with his friends Danny, Jinhwan and Baekyoung. Together, the group has recorded five studio albums with Park as the main musician and producer. Today, 1TYM is recognized as one of the most influential groups in the history of Korean music. After his performing career with 1TYM ended in January 2006, Park became an in-house producer under YG Entertainment.
