Ariadna Thalía Sodi Miranda Mottola, known as Thalía, is a Mexican singer, businesswoman and former actress. Born in Mexico City, she was first recognized as a member of the successful pop group Timbiriche between 1986 and 1989. One of the most successful and influential Mexican artists, she is recognized by the media. internationally known as the "Queen of Latin Pop". Having sold around 25 million records worldwide, she is one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. In addition to native Spanish, Thalía also sings in English, French, Portuguese and Tagalog. She has received numerous awards, including 5 Billboard Latin Music Awards, several Premios Juventud and Lo Nuestro, as well as 7 Latin Grammy nominations, including a special “President's Merit Award” in 2019
