Thomas William Selleck is an American actor and film producer. His breakout role was playing the role of private investigator Thomas Magnum in the TV series Magnum, PI. Since 2010, Selleck has played the role of New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the Blue Bloods series and the show was refreshed for the twelfth season in 2021–2022. Starting in 2005, he played the troubled little town sheriff Jesse Stone in nine TV series based on Robert B. Parker's novel. In the movies, Selleck played celibate architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby and Its Sequel. He has also appeared in over 50 other film and television roles since Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball and Lassiter. He has appeared in recurring television roles as Monica Geller's love interest in Dr. Richard Burke in Friends, Lance White, adorable and innocent partner in The Rockford Files, and casino owner A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas.
