Toney Bernard Douglas is an American professional basketball player who plays for Italy's Pallacanestro Varese Lega Basket Serie A. He played college basketball for Auburn for a year, eventually becoming frustrated with his role on the team as a shooter. He then moved to Florida State University for the remainder of his college career, where he held a leadership position. Emerging as a defensive force during his junior-level season, Douglas has set school and conference records for flights. He became the team manager in his final season, breaking individual achievements in a number of statistical categories and helping lead Seminoles to their first NCAA tournament in 11 years. Douglas was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2009 NBA Draft with a 29th overall vote, but was immediately transferred to the New York Knicks. He played for the Knicks, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors before being transferred to the Miami Heat in 2014
