Drummer who joined Green Day's punk rock band in 1990 and helped create the album American Idiot, which went platinum six times in 2004. He was joined in the band by Billie Joe Armstrong (vocalist/guitarist), Mike Dirnt (bassist), and Jason White (guitarist).
Frank Edwin Wright III, known by his stage name Tré Cool, is a German-American musician, singer and songwriter known as the drummer for the punk rock band Green Day. He replaced former drummer John Kiffmeyer in 1990 when Kiffmeyer felt he should focus on college. Cool has also starred in The Lookouts, Samiam, Dead Mermaids, Bubu and the Brood, and side projects Green Day The Network and Foxboro Hot Tubs.
