Troy Van Leeuwen is an American musician and record producer. He is best known as the guitarist and multi-instrumentalist of the rock band Queens of the Stone Age, with whom he recorded four studio albums. Joining the group in 2002, he is the second oldest member of the group, after founding member Josh Homme. Leeuwen is also a member of the supergroup Gone Is Gone and has previously led her own projects, Enemy and Sweethead. Originally a member of Failure, Leeuwen joined alternative rock group A Perfect Circle in 1999, contributing to their first two studio albums, Mer de Names and Thirteen Step, before joining the Queens of the Stone Age tour to support their third studio album, Songs for the Deaf. Leeuwen has remained with the band ever since, recording four albums with the band so far: Lullabies to Paralyze, Era Vulgaris, ... Like Clockwork and Villains.
