Following the 2017 and 2018 seasons, he guided the University of Alabama to back-to-back national titles. He finished second in the 2018 Heisman Trophy voting. The Miami Dolphins selected him fifth overall in the NFL Draft in 2020.

Tuanigamanuolepola “Tua” Tagovailoa is an American midfielder with the Miami Dolphins soccer team of the National Football Federation. Born and raised in Hawaii to Samoan parents, he attended Saint Louis School in Honolulu. Later, he attended the University of Alabama to play college football. He helped lead Crimson Tide to make consecutive appearances at the National Championships during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, winning first and being named MVP. Tagovailoa won a number of other awards and trophies for the 2018 season, including the Maxwell and Walter Camp Awards, and was named to the final round for the Heisman Trophy. In 2019, he dislocated his hip in a match that ended his early season. Regardless of the severity, he was drafted by Dolphins at fifth place in the NFL Draft in 2020, making him the highest quarterback they drafted since Bob Griese in 1967. He deserved.
