In 2010, he was selected Rookie of the Year in the NBA by the Sacramento Kings. In 2013, he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans after four seasons with the Sacramento Kings. In 2017, he was dealt back to the Kings.

Tyreke Jamir Evans is an American professional basketball player. After playing college basketball for the Memphis Tigers, he was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by Sacramento Kings. Evans won the NBA Rookie of the Year award. He was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2013 before being traded to the Kings in 2017. Following back-to-back playoffs with Memphis Grizzlies and Indiana Pacers, Evans, who will become a free agent at the end of the tournament's season. 2019, was fired and removed from the NBA in May for violating the terms of the tournament's anti-drug program.
