He is most recognized for his performance in the 2000 musical film Mohabbatein, for which he was nominated for a Filmfare Award. He also starred in the suspense series Dhoom.

Uday Chopra is an actor, producer, screenwriter and assistant director of Bollywood. He is the son of the late Yash Chopra and the brother of Aditya Chopra. Her sister-in-law is actress Rani Mukerji and her cousin is director Karan Johar and film producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Chopra has worked as an assistant director for several of his father's and brother's films under the Yash Raj Films banner. Chopra is an owner-manager of YRF Entertainment and a director of Yash Raj Films along with mother Pamela Chopra and brother Aditya Chopra, owner of the company. Chopra first acted in the notable 2000 romantic musical film Mohabbatein and has appeared in a number of other notable films including Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Dhoom, Dhoom 2 and Dhoom 3. In May In July 2012, Chopra founded his own company, Yomics, to create comic books. on popular Yash Raj films including Hum Tum, Dhoom and Ek Tha Tiger.
