As a part of the Toronto Blue Jays organization, he rose to prominence as a third baseman. He was named the Blue Jays' top prospect in 2017, and was subsequently voted as the 3rd best prospect in all of the MLB in 2018.

Vladimir Guerrero Ramos Jr was the first professional basketball team Dominican basketball player in Canada and third basketball player for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team of Major League Baseball. He is the son of former MLB and Hall of Fame player Vladimir Guerrero Sr. He made his big tournament debut in April 2019 .
