Waleed Aly was born August 15, 1978} is an Australian writer, scholar, lawyer and broadcaster. Aly is a political lecturer at Monash University, works in its Center for Global Terrorism, and is Network Ten's topical and current affairs co-host. He also writes for Fairfax Media, co-host of The Minefield, an ABC RN show about ethical dilemmas in modern life, and is the lead guitarist for rock band Robot Child. In 2016, he won the Gold Logie Award for Best Character in Australian Television.
