Walter Marvin Koenig is an American actor and screenwriter. He started professionally in the mid-1960s and quickly rose to fame with the supporting role of Ensign Pavel Chekov in Star Trek: The Original Series. He then reenacted the role in the original seven Star Trek movies. He has also appeared in a number of other series and movies, including Goodbye, Raggedy Ann, The Questor Tapes, Babylon 5, and Crusade. In addition to his acting career, Koenig also stepped into writing and is known for his work Star Trek: The Animated Series, Land of the Lost, Family, What Really Happened to the Classroom from 65? and The Powers of Matthew Star.
