Wendy Joan Williams is an American radio presenter, media personality, businesswoman and writer. Since 2008, she has hosted the national television talk show The Wendy Williams Show. Prior to coming to television, Williams was a DJ and radio presenter and quickly rose to prominence in New York City as a record juggler. She is famous for her interactions with celebrities and is the subject of the 2006 VH1 reality series The Wendy Williams Experience, which airs events surrounding her radio show. Williams' other efforts include creating multiple books, appearing in various movies and TV shows, and his own product lines, including fashion lines, jewelry collections, and a wig line. Williams was introduced to the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2009. On her 50th birthday, the council of Asbury Park, New Jersey renamed the street where she grew up as Wendy Williams.
