Between 1997 and 2013, the musician known as Werrason released more than a dozen albums as the founder and frontman of the African music ensemble Wenge Maison Mère (WMM). Solola Bien (1999), which won a French Golden Record, and Kibuisa Mpimpa, a solo album released in 2001, are two examples.

Noël Ngiama Makanda, known as Werra Son, is a Congolese musician born December 25, 1965 in Moliembo, a small village west of DRC, in the Kikwit region of Kwilu district. Werrason is a founding member of the Wenge Musica 4X4 group Tout Terrain Bon Chic Bon Genre was founded in 1981 while still studying for an accounting degree. Werrason and his college friends Didier Masela, Adolphe Dominguez, and Blaise Bula formed the group and were later joined by J.B Mpiana. After separating from the original Wenge Musica, he co-founded Wenge Musica Maison Mère, a group he formed with Didier Masela and Adolphe Dominguez.
