Weston James Earl McKennie is an American professional soccer player who plays in midfield for Serie A club Juventus and the US national team. As a versatile player, McKennie has the ability to play in a variety of positions in midfield, mainly as a defensive midfielder or deep defensive midfielder. After going through the youth system, McKennie began his senior club career alongside the Bundesliga Schalke 04. During the 2017-18 season, he established himself as a first-team player, playing 25 matches in all competitions. After three seasons, McKennie was loaned to Italian champions Juventus, with an agreement going into effect in March 2021. McKennie has represented the United States internationally at young and senior levels. He made his senior debut in 2017 and finished runner-up in the CONCACAF Golden Cup 2019
