William Theodore Katt is an American film and television actor, vocal artist, and musician known as the star of America's greatest hero television series. He was first known as Tommy Ross, Carrie White's miserable date in the film version of Carrie, then starred in films like First Love, Big Wed and Butch and Sundance: The Early Days. From 1985 to 1988, he starred in nine Perry Mason dramas alongside his mother, Barbara Hale, who reprized her role of Della Street in the television series Perry Mason.
