Volleyball player who won a gold medal with the Dominican Republic team at the 2016 Pan-American Volleyball Cup. She also won a silver medal with the team at the 2015 NORCECA Championships. She was a member of the Mirador club volleyball squad.
Winifer María Fernández Pérez is a Dominican volleyball player. With her club Mirador, she participated in the 2015 FIVB Club World Championship. She rose to fame after a video and then a few photos of her game and training, and her personal photos - some of which were fake - went viral in July 2016. In 2010, she won the NORCECA U18 Continental Championship Best Libero, Digger and Award Recipient, repeating this award in the 2012 NORCECA U20 Championship, this time with a gold medal and the award for best player. She also won a gold medal at the 2012 U23 American Championship just before making her senior national team debut at the 2012 FIVB World Grand Prix.
