Xavier Dolan-Tadros is a Canadian director, actor, screenwriter, editor, costume designer and voice actor. He began his career as a child actor in commercials before directing several historical feature films. He first gained international fame in 2009 with his director's debut film, I Killed My Mother, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival during the Fortnight Direction section. Since 2009, he has written and directed eight feature films, all of which were shown at Cannes except Tom at the Farm - which premiered at the 70th Venice International Film Festival in 2013 - and from the series His first English-speaking film, The Death & Life of John F. Donovan, premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. He directed the music video for Adele's single "Hello" in 2015.
