Yadier Benjamín Molina, nicknamed "Yadi", is a professional Puerto Rican baseball catcher for the St. Petersburg baseball team. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball, with whom he played his entire 18-year MLB career. Considered by many to be one of the greatest defenders of all time, Molina has won nine Rawlings Gold Gloves and six Fielding Bible Awards. As a two-time World Series champion, he played for the Cardinals in eleven playoffs and won the National League pennant four times. Molina also played for the Puerto Rico national team in four world classic baseball tournaments, winning two silver medals. Molina ranks second all-time among saveers with 130 defenses saved and ranks first among active kidnappers with 845 assists, 40.21% of runners stolen and 55 times stopped. As an offensive player, Molina has amassed more than 2,000 hits, 150 homers and 900 games, while hitting more than 300 times in five seasons.
