He is well known for his role as Aranya Singha Roy in the Indian television series Bojhena Se Bojhena, for which he won Star Jalsha and Tele Sammaan Awards, and for his part as Karan Singh in the Colors TV serial Na Aana Is Des Laado.

Yash Dasgupta has been an Indian actor, model and politician for the Bharatiya Janata Party since February 17, 2021. He started his career in television and then made his first screen appearance with the lead role in the Bengali film Gangster. Yash Dasgupta is best known for his roles in Bojhena Se Bojhena and Na Aana Is Des Laado. Yash Dasgupta won the title of Glam King in the Unish Kuri Streax Glam Hunt held in Kolkata. After that he moved to Mumbai to pursue an acting career, joined drama school and made his first stop as an actor in the television industry. Yash Dasgupta said in an interview with TImes India: "I attended a theater seminar at Roshan Taneja Drama School and also worked on several Hindi film series."
