He is the Attorney General of Ontario, former Government House Leader, and a former Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario who was elected in 2007. He represented the riding of Ottawa Centre. He was also the President of the Ontario Liberal Party. He was a member of the Ontario cabinet in the government of Kathleen Wynne.
