Naofumi Yamamoto is a Japanese professional wrestler, former boxer and mixed martial artist who is currently under contract with All Japan Pro Wrestling. Yamamoto began his professional wrestling career under his real name in October 2002 with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he stayed until 2007 when he signed with World Wrestling Entertainment. In 2009, Yamamoto left WWE development territory to join the main promotions line-up under the stage name Yoshi Tatsu. After leaving WWE in June 2014, Yamamoto returned to NJPW the following October, performing under the refined ring name Yoshitatsu. After leaving NJPW at the end of 2017, Yamamoto became a freelance writer and most notable started working for All Japan Pro Wrestling, with whom he signed a full-time contract in 2020
