Zakir Abdul Karim Naik is an Indian Muslim missionary and evangelist. Naik is recognized as a non-Arab Muslim scholar, public speaker and recognized authority on comparative religion. He is the founder and chairman of the Islamic Research Foundation and of the Peace Television Network, the world's largest network of religious satellite channels. Before becoming a public speaker, he was a doctor. He has published book versions of sermons on Islam and comparative religion. Although he openly denied sectarianism in Islam, he is considered an influential follower of the Salafist movement. His talks on Peace Television were viewed over 200 million times in 2013. In addition, Naik's familiar presentation style has been extremely popular among Muslims around the world and has won numerous awards.
