Zdeno Chára is a professional Slovak ice hockey defender for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey Federation. Previously he played for New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins. At 44, he is the oldest active player in the NHL. He is known for his athletic style for his great bodybuilding, goals and the fact that he is the greatest player in NHL history. Chára was the captain of Bruins for all of his fourteen seasons with the franchise, from 2006 to 2020. He won the Norris Trophy as the tournament's best defender of the year. 2009, became the first Slovakian to do this and the second European after Nicklas Lidström. At 6 feet 9 tall, Chára is the tallest person ever to play at the NHL, earning him the nickname "Big Z". In 2011, 2013 and 2019, Chára was the captain of the Bruins team in the Stanley Cup final.
