Addison Wayne Russell is an American professional baseball player playing for the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican Federation. Russell was ranked 11th overall by the Oakland Athletics in the 2012 Major League Draft Baseball Tournament. He traded with the Chicago Cubs in 2014. In 2015, Baseball America ranked Russell as the third most promising player in professional baseball. He debuted MLB with the Cubs in April 2015 and was an All-Star in 2016. That same year, Russell won a World Series ring with the Cubs.
