Novak is best known as one of The Office's executive writers and producers, in which he also plays Ryan Howard, and is the best-selling author of a children's book, The Book With No Pictures. As an actor, he also appeared as PFC Smithson "The Little Man" Utivich in Inglourious Basterds, Robert B. Sherman in Saving Mr. Banks and Harry J. Sonneborn in the Founder.
