About Cara Readle

Famous for her portrayal of Layla in three seasons of the British television series The Story of Tracy Beaker, she is also known for her recurring role as Elen on the series Baker Boys.

Cara Readle is a Welsh actress from Swansea, Wales known for her role as Layla in The Story of Tracy Beaker Series Three through Five. Readle was born in Swansea to an English father and Welsh mother, with cerebral palsy. The characters she played in Zig Zag Love and The Tracy Beaker Story also made this request. In November 2009, she also had a role in Casualty, playing a cerebral palsy patient named Serena Wark. The character's sister, Shona Wark, played by Evelyn Hoskins, reappeared several times as a recurring character, joining a plotline centered around character Charlie Fairhead, but despite this, Serena never reappeared. Cara recently worked with BBC Ouch! to share your life experiences with your disability.
