Craig Douglas Bellamy is a former Welsh professional footballer who played as a striker. He currently manages the Belgian Under-21 team of Anderlecht. Born in Cardiff, Bellamy began his playing career at Norwich City, where he made his professional debut in 1996. He signed for the Premier League Coventry City in 2000, becoming the club's record, but was relegated for his single season. He joined Newcastle United the following year, where he helped the club achieve two rankings in the top four in a four-year period. Bellamy failed with manager Graeme Souness in 2005 and spent the remainder of the 2004-05 season on loan at Celtic, where he won the Scottish Cup. Bellamy returned to the Premier League later that year, playing a season with Blackburn Rovers where he was named the club's best player and Liverpool. In 2007 he signed for West Ham United but an injury interrupted his time there and in 2009 he joined Manchester City.
