In 2008, the Oakland Raiders drafted him 4th overall out of Arkansas as an all-American running back. He struggled to stay healthy early in his NFL career but managed to rush for 1,157 yards in 2010, his third season. In 2015, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys after seven years with the Oakland Raiders.

Darren McFadden is a former American football player. He played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He also played three seasons for the Dallas Cowboys. In Arkansas, McFadden had a glittering career, two Heisman Trophy finalists and a member of the All America team. He was very enthusiastic when he graduated and was selected for the final fourth place by the Raiders. McFadden has struggled with stability throughout his career, just going over 1,000 meters twice and never starting all 16 games in a single season. He retired in the middle of the 2017 NFL season and was elected to the College Football Fame Hall in 2019.
