Dianne Evelyn Wiest is an American actress. She has twice won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, for the Woody Allen films Hannah and Her Sisters and Bullets over Broadway, and has appeared in three other Allen films: The Purple Rose of Cairo, Radio Days and September. Other Wiest movies appearing include Footloose, The Lost Boys, Bright Lights, Big City, Edward Scissorhands, Little Man Tate, The Birdcage, Practical Magic, Dan in Real Life, Synecdoche, New York, Rabbit Hole, Sisters, Let Them All Talk and I care a lot. Wiest received an Oscar nomination for Parenthood and won a Golden Globe Award for Bullets over Broadway.
