Griffith Rhys Jones is a Welsh comedian, writer, actor and television presenter. He has appeared in several television series with his comedian, Mel Smith. Rhys Jones gained national attention in the 1980s for his work in comedy sketch shows on BBC Not the Nine O'Clock News and Alas Smith and Jones. With Smith, he co-founded the television production company Talkback Productions, now part of the RTL Group, and then in 2005 he founded the production company Modern Television. Rhys Jones continues to develop her career as a television presenter and writer, as well as with her work as an actress. From 2008 to 2016, he performed the show It will be Alright on the Night for ITV, replacing Denis Norden, who hosted the show for nearly 30 years. Rhys Jones was struck in 2018 by David Walliams. Rhys Jones is currently President of the Victorian Society and regularly runs social media campaigns.
