Hikaru Nakamura is an American chess player and live broadcaster on Twitch. A chess prodigy, he became the youngest American to win the title of Grandmaster at 15 years and 79 days, beaten by Samuel Sevian, 13, 10 months. Nakamura is the five-time American champion. He won the 2011 Tata Steel Chess Championship Group A and represented the United States at the five Olympic Chess Games, winning a team gold medal and two teammate medals. Its highest USCF rating is 2,900, reached in August 2015. In October 2015, it achieved its highest FIDE rating of 2,816, ranking it second in the world. In May 2014, when FIDE began publishing official rankings for the Quick and Lightning flags, Nakamura was ranked world number one on both lists. He was overtaken by Magnus Carlsen in the second outing of the standings.
