A British vocalist released two albums, The Monologue and The Paradox. After winning an Adidas music competition called Are You In in 2012, he became the first unsigned performer to appear on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

Jacob Banks is a Nigerian-born British singer and songwriter from Birmingham. Jacob Banks won the 2012 MOBO UnSung regional competition in Birmingham and Adidas' "Are You In" music competition. His music is influenced by many genres including soul, R&B and hip hop. The bank has currently signed a contract with Interscope Records of the US.
