John Allen McDorman IV is an American actor best known for his lead role as Brian Finch, a musician struggling to take intelligence-enhancing pills, in the CBS comedy series Limitless, from September 2015 to April 2016. McDorman is also appeared as Evan Chambers on the Greek television series ABC Family, starred in the NBC short sitcom Are You There, Chelsea ?, and played the role of Mike Pratt in Showtime's comedy Shameless. In 2014, McDorman starred in the ABC romantic comedy / television series Manhattan Love Story. In 2018, McDorman joined Murphy Brown's resurrection as Murphy's son, Avery.
