Jérôme Agyenim Boateng is a German professional footballer who plays in midfield for the Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the German national team. Boateng started his career with Hertha BSC where he progressed from the youth team to the main team. After his first season at Hertha, he quickly signed for Hamburger SV and became an integral part of the squad, helping Hamburg reach two consecutive UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
