Briana Collette Scurry is a retired American football goalkeeper and assistant coach for the Washington Spirit team since the 2018 Cup. She and the 2004 Summer Olympics. She played in the semifinals and playoffs for third place in 2007 Women's World Championship. She is a founding member of WUSA, playing three seasons as starting goalkeeper for the Atlanta Beat. Her total of 173 international appearances during her career is the second highest among female football goalkeepers. She is also the fifteenth tallest among all female American tennis players and the thirty-second tallest of all women. Scurry was named in the National Football Fame Hall of Fame on August 3, 2017. She was the first to score and the first black woman to receive the honor. On June 1, 2018, she married Chryssa Zizos, CEO of Live Wire Strategic Communications, LLC.
