American softball player who became a four-time First Team All-American at Stanford University, where she played from 1999 to 2002. She was a member of the 2004 Olympic softball team that won gold, and she went on to work for ESPN as a color analyst.

Jessica Ofelia Mendoza is an American sports presenter for ESPN and a former teammate who has won Team USA's first prize four times, won the Olympic medal twice, professional softball All-Star midfielder took retired, originally from Camarillo, Calif. At Stanford University, Mendoza performed from 1999 to 2002 at the Pac-12 conference. She was also a member of the US Women's National Softball Team from 2004 to 2010. She won a gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and a silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. . She played professionally in the National Pro Fastpitch and was named the 2011 Player of the Year while currently ranking among the top 10 career records for ball average and slip rate. Mendoza has many cardinal records. She was ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball analyst from 2016 to 2019. She was dropped from the Sunday night baseball program after the 2019 season, but she is still an ESPN baseball analyst.
