Award-winning animator, writer, and performer best known for creating Cartoon Network's animated slacker comedy Regular Show.
James Garland Quintel is an American animator and voice actor, best known as the creator of the Cartoon Network Series Regular Show, in which he voices the characters Mordecai and High. Five Ghost. He also created the HBO series Max Close Enough, in which he voices the character of Josh. He was previously the Creative Director of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, an animated series that aired on Cartoon Network from June 2008 to August 2010 and was a writer and stage performer on Camp Lazlo from 2006 to 2008. In December 2009, ASIFA-Hollywood nominated Quintel for the Annie Award in the "Directing in TV Production" category for his directing work on an episode of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. In September 2011, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences nominated Quintel for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Short Format Animation Program for the Regular Program category.
