John Miles Ecker is a former German American basketball player and coach. He played college basketball for UCLA Bruins under coach John Wooden, winning three consecutive national championships from 1969 to 1971. Ecker played and coached professionally in Germany, where he also naturalized in 1977. He also taught at a high school in Germany. Ecker is married to German Olympic gold medalist Heide Ecker-Rosendahl. Their son, Danny Ecker, has become one of Germany's top cashiers.
