Former professional soccer player and sports analyst best known for reporting and color commentating on ESPN's women's soccer broadcasts. She was a co-captain of the United States women's national soccer team for nine years until becoming captain in 2004.

Julie Maurine Foudy is a retired American midfielder, two-time FIFA women's world champion and Olympic gold medalist. She played for the United States Women's National Football Team from 1987 to 2004. Foudy ended her international career with 274 caps and was team captain from 2000 to 2004 as well as team captain. From 1991 to 2000. In 1997, she was the first American and the first woman to receive a FIFA Fair Play Award. From 2000 to 2002, Foudy was president of the Women's Sports Organization. In 2006, she co-founded Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy, an organization focused on developing leadership skills in teenage girls. In 2007, she was inducted into the National Football Hall of Fame with her teammate, Mia Hamm.
